2008 SAFE Benefit Horse Show
The second annual SAFE Benefit Horse Show took place on August 23, 2008 at Bridle Trails State Park in Bellevue WA and was a tremendous success. We enjoyed a beautiful, sunny day and we had a great turnout for the show. Initial feedback indicates that a great time was had by all. Our judges for the event, Heidi Hopen-Wright and Crystal Byers, did a fantastic job, and provided a lot of great advise and assistance to our participants. Our Prize Drawing was a big hit, and a lot of people went home with great new treasures. During the lunch break, spectators were treated to a performance by Cowgirl Spirit Rescue Drill Team, as well as a parade of rescue horses available for adoption.
Four SAFE rescue horses were in attendance, and did a terrific job both in and out of the show ring. These amazing equines are looking for their forever homes, and they have proven that they are as beautiful and talented as their non-rescue counterparts.
