Fall is on its way (if it hasn’t already arrived!) and it is time to make preparations for the return of the rain.Each fall, we offer an opportunity for SAFE supporters to participate in our Fall Work Party. The purpose of the Work Party is to make repairs, improvements and complete general maintenance that will allow us to operate efficiently during the winter.
We can count on our dedicated regular volunteers to always pitch in. However, this is a perfect way for those of you who can’t commit to weekly volunteering to have a chance to contribute. The list of projects is long, and we need as many people as possible. Bring your spouse, kids, friends and neighbors. All are welcome! It is a fun event and the sense of accomplishment is truly rewarding.
This year we are hosting the event on Saturday, September 21st from 9am — 5pm. Beverages and pizza lunch will be provided. Projects vary in difficulty, from sweeping down cobwebs to shoveling gravel to swinging a hammer…there is something for everyone!
