Welcome a new horse to SAFE! Emmy was seized by Pierce County Animal Control after she was discovered abandoned on a property with a huge herd of starving pigs and cattle. While the owner of the animals was identified and charged with cruelty, he apparently fled the country, so we have no background information on this horse. However, she appears to be sound and sensible, so she has been signed over to SAFE for rehabilitation and training, in hopes that we can find her a new home. Emmy is a very pretty mare, and we suspect she may be half or one-quarter Quarter Horse. We’re looking forward to getting to know her better!

I am inquiring into Emmy. How tall is she? I am looking for a project horse. I am looking for an all around horse. Maybe a little jumping and dressage but really just a good partner. This will be my last horse as I am older and it will be a forever situation so a good fit is imperative. I do not have a lot of money but I am a good responsible owner. I have one horse at home that is retired due to an injury but am looking to board my new horse at the Back Forte Equestrian Center. I train with Teresa Leahy. My vet is Dr Steve Latimer. I would love to hear any updates on Emmy, her soundness, assessment of her rideability, talent for jumping and/or dressage, any behavior issues etc. I know you are busy but any info would be very much appreciated. In advance thank you Dianna Marchand.
Sorry about the previous long comment. I obviously was not paying attention to the purpose of the comments and used it as an inquiry.… sorry :/
