Otto has been put through his paces, and is ready to start meeting potential adopters! First saddled May of 2022, he has proven to be very level-headed — just shy of six months under saddle, Otto has proven that he is ready for his next adventure. Though it is still relatively early in his education, Otto has taken each new experience in stride, and is currently going well under saddle. But despite his agreeable nature, he is still quite green at this point, and so he will do best in a home with a more advanced rider (who is also smaller in stature, given Otto’s size).
Otto is a very responsive little gelding, and he gets softer with each ride. A phenomenal herd-mate, he plays well with all different personalities and sizes (his current best bud is our Cramer, who stands 16.2!). He stands very well for the farrier and vet, and trailers without issue.
Some other things that we love about Otto:
He loves to share a haynet, so he can scrounge up all the yummy leaves that result in his companion shaking the bag;
His deep voice — befitting a horse double his stature, but one that really stays true to his overall theme, which is that size doesn’t matter all that much;
His intelligence. He’s wise beyond his years, and you really get a sense of how level-headed he is even in base interactions;
How adorable he is. Pictures can only do so much, you’ll have to see him in person to really get a sense of how handsome he is.

His great start and solid mind will make him a fun and willing project for the right person, and we are so excited to help our sweet Otto find his forever home!
