The Drawing was held on September 28 at the last Open House, and it was a ticket belonging to Trent N that was drawn from the bucket. Congratulations Trent, we hope you enjoy your new farm implement. SAFE is holding a prize drawing for this brand new Land Pride AG1560 Series arena grader, donated to us by Issaquah Honda Kubota. 60″ wide, made from heavy-duty tube framing with adjustable S‑tine shanks. Five-position leveling bar to smooth the soil and a mesh roller to break clods and fluff the soil. Working depth 4″. For an 18–45 HP tractor. 3‑Point and Quick Hitch compatible (Cat I). Retail value: $1,100.
Tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100. Washington state gambling laws do not allow online sales so there are three ways to enter:
- In person at the the SAFE Open House on Saturday, September 28, 2024. We’ll try to create other opportunities for people to buy tickets in person, and if you have any questions, please send them to bonnie@safehorses.org.
- If you’re in the Redmond area M‑F between 9am and 4pm, send a text to 206–331-0006 to find out if you can stop by SAFE to purchase tickets in person.
- To purchase tickets by mail: download this entry form and mail it to SAFE Arena Grader Raffle, PO Box 2769, Redmond WA 98073. Provide your name, phone number, and email address for confirmation, along a check payable to SAFE for the amount owed. Mail in entries must be received by September 26 in order to be included in the drawing. We cannot mail physical ticket stubs back to you, but your entries will be included in the drawing.
Tickets sales end on September 28, 2024 at 2:45pm. The drawing will be held at the end of the Open House on September 28, 2024 at 3pm, You need not be present to win.

Raffle Rules
Save a Forgotten Equine (SAFE), a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, is conducting this raffle pursuant to SB 5723, Washington Administrative Code 230–03-152, to raise funds for ongoing charitable purposes. The Rules and Regulations of the SAFE Arena Grader raffle are set forth below. By purchasing a raffle ticket, the purchaser agrees to be bound by these rules and regulations. SAFE’s interpretation and application of the rules and regulations shall be final.
The Arena Grader Raffle will start on June 15, 2024. Tickets will be sold until 2:45pm on September 28, 2024. The drawing will be held on September 28, 2024 at 3:00pm, at Safe Harbor Stables at 10407 192nd Ave NE, Redmond WA. The drawing may be open to the public, but the winner does not need to be present to win.
The chances of winning are based on the number of tickets sold. The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances in raffles, lotteries or similar drawings for valuable prizes are not gifts, and consequently do not qualify as deductible charitable contributions. SAFE takes no responsibility for any tax liabilities. Consult your tax advisor. This offer is void where prohibited by law, and all federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
By entering this raffle, entrants accept and agree (1) to be bound by all the rules, limitations and restrictions set forth here and (2) that their names and/or likenesses may be disclosed to and used by the news media and may otherwise be used by SAFE for publicity purposes. SAFE will provide purchasers with all raffle information as required by WAC 230–11-015. Other rules and regulations may apply. Please contact SAFE if you have questions. By entering this raffle, each participant releases SAFE, its directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by participating in the raffle or winning any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, and each winner agrees to indemnify and hold SAFE harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind rising in connection with or as a result of participating in the raffle or the winner’s acceptance or use of any prize.

Division of the prize by a group purchasing a ticket in common shall be the sole responsibility of the person named as the holder of record of that ticket, should that ticket be selected as a winner.
SAFE reserves the right to reject any entry that is submitted with payment that does not constitute “good funds.” Prior to the drawing, SAFE will make a reasonable effort to notify the individual and/or entity that has been rejected because the credit card or check did not clear that the entry has been rejected by attempting to make contact through the information provided at the time of submitting the purchase request. SAFE assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, or non-delivered messages, or any other failure to receive orders or deliver receipts prior to the drawing deadline.
A raffle participant’s sole and exclusive remedy for SAFE’s breach shall be limited to the return of the purchase price paid for his or her raffle ticket(s). In no event shall SAFE, its directors, officers, employees, agents, or representatives be liable to any party for any loss or injuries to earnings, profits, or goodwill, or for any incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages of any person or entity whether arising in contract, tort or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
How to Purchase:
Tickets cannot be purchased on the SAFE website or by email. Tickets will be sold in person at Save a Forgotten Equine: 10407 192nd Ave NE, Redmond WA 98053. Payment by cash, check, or credit card must be made at the time of purchase.

Selection of Winners:
The SAFE Arena Grader Raffle drawing will be held on September 28, 2024, from all eligible raffle tickets. Winners need not be present to win.
Winners will be notified according to the contact information provided to SAFE at the time of ticket purchase. In addition to the winner being posted on the SAFE website (safehorses.org), the name of the winner may be obtained by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to SAFE Arena Grader Raffle, PO Box 2769, Redmond WA 98073 within one week of the drawing.
Winning Odds:
The odds of winning a prize will depend on the number of tickets sold.
Eligibility:
Anyone 18 years of age or older may enter. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. The raffle is void where prohibited or restricted by law. An affidavit of eligibility may be required from the prize winner.
Prize:
The prize is a new/unused Land Pride AG1560 Series arena grader, donated to SAFE by Issaquah Honda Kubota. 60″ wide, made from heavy-duty tube framing with adjustable S‑tine shanks. If the prize goes unclaimed, ownership will be returned to SAFE 90 days after the drawing date.
General Terms and Conditions:
No express warranties are given and no affirmation of SAFE by words and/or actions will constitute a warranty. The Arena Grader will be transferred to the Winner “as is, where is, and with all faults.” SAFE does not provide any guarantee or warranty, expressed or implied, in connection with the Arena Grader.

Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to the contract, or the breach thereof, shall be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (pursuant to its expedited procedures) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, and judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.
