We can think of no sweeter end to the week than announcing Frosting has been adopted!
Though she wasn’t born at SAFE, Frosting arrived as a yearling, and as such we got to watch her grow up, transforming from a gangly and matted filly into a beautiful young mare. At SAFE, she learned how to behave for the farrier, how to live in a herd, and how to wear a saddle and carry a rider, among many other things. She made many friends, both horse and human, thanks to her sweet (and sometimes rather mischievous) personality. But after receiving such a solid start here at SAFE, it was time for her to fly the coop.
When Ann came to meet her, she fell in love with Frosting, and shortly thereafter made plans to add her to her family. Frosting, now Shawnee, has been settling in great in her new digs, ponying out on the trails, having all sorts of great experiences under saddle, and above all else, receiving lots of love. This sweet and curious girl is still getting up to her old tricks, like showing off her pearly whites and resting her head on her human’s back or shoulder, but she’s finding time to learn a few new ones too — chauffeuring around teddy bears, for example. We are so happy for this special girl, and look forward to hearing all about all the new adventures and shenanigans she will get up to in her new home!
