After the bomb cyclone hit Western Washington and before the official start of Thanksgiving week, Sunny D turned Sweet 16 on November 23! Where has the time gone? The little guy was only 3 when he and his Mama, Shasta, arrived at SAFE in 2011 after being seized by Animal Control. Thirteen years later, he and Shasta continue to earn their keep as SAFE permanent ambassadors and are loved by all who know them. So … on his special day, Sunny was appropriately doted on while playing with his treat ball, enjoying a groom, along with Shasta, and strolling around the property before being tucked into their barn stall where he (and his Mama) were served their dinner mash garnished with Birthday treats, as were all the SAFE horses as part of the Birthday celebration! To continue the celebration a few days later, Sunny and Shasta were treated by their Best Buddy to Masterson Method bodywork sessions by Natalie, Certified Masterson Method Practitioner. Happy 16th Birthday, sweet Sunny! It is hoped your next 16 will be some of your best ever! XOXO
