SAFE has been asked to help with a Thoroughbred mare owned by someone who can’t afford her care and is losing her home in the next few weeks. We don’t have a lot of information about the mare, but we do know that she is skinny, lame and in need of vet care.
SAFE does has space available to take this mare, but we need your help with her expenses in order to be able to commit to her care. We are willing to take responsibility for her rehabilitation, training and eventual adoption. Please help us help this mare by making a tax-deductible donation to SAFE today.
SAFE is an Exempt Organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and a registered non-profit corporation in the state of Washington. Your gift to SAFE is tax-deductible. All donations to SAFE are carefully recorded and tracked, and SAFE will supply each donor with a receipt for their contribution which should be retained for tax purposes.
hey, i bought my horse from this lady a few days ago my horse is an arab, but this horse is VERY VERY sweet! loves attention. and is there any way that you guys can keep me posted on her i wish i could have took her and yes im only 15 but if you need some one to come groom this horse i would be glad.
I am listing my late mare’s tack, blankets, etc. for sale, she was a lovely thoroughbred as well, I will donate the profits I get to this beautiful spirit. (Unfortunately, I dont know how much that will be yet, or how soon.…)
Do we know if this mare has a tattoo? She is a dead ringer for our Jazzing Around daughter. We just had to put down our two old campaigners, but will donate next week.

Hello Amber!
Thank you for telling us what you know about this mare — we are glad to hear that she is such a sweetie! You’ll be able to keep track of her here on our website, but if you have any questions, you’re always welcome to ask. If you’re interested in volunteering, please click on the Volunteer link above — we’d love to have you help us take care of her!
Oh Laura, thank you so much!! What a wonderful way to honor your horse’s memory! Darn it, you got me all weepy! 🙂
Hi Kelsey,
The owner says she doesn’t think the mare has a tattoo and she doesn’t have papers, so her identity may be a mystery. and I’m sorry for your loss…but thank you for doing what was best for them to the very end. Godspeed, horses!
Oh, Laura, what a kind thing for you to do and a wonderful way to honor your mare!
