Shante was a beautiful Arabian gelding that was 27 years old when he was rescued from a neglectful hoarding situation and came to SAFE. He was rehabilitated back to health and was an excellent, well-trained horse who had previously been a 4H horse and loved children. He was adopted into a family where he taught their grandchildren to ride.
Shante coliced badly on June 13, 2008 and was humanely euthanized to spare him any suffering. He was well loved and will be greatly missed.
