​Here’s SAFE volunteer Lisa doing some expert scratching on the (formerly) shy Stella. Apparently the way to this sweet mare’s heart is through her withers!

    Is she trained enough to ride? Please contact me. She looks perfect for a horse I’ve wanted, she just needs to be trained.

    Hi Natalie,
    Stella is only 2 years old, so she won’t be ready to start under saddle until she is 3. She’s pretty small, so we need to give her ample time to grow up before we start asking her to carry a rider. Thanks so much for your question!
