KCTS logoIf you’re just joining us after watching “From Stable to Table,” welcome to Save a Forgotten Equine! We are very grateful to KCTS for letting us be a part of their news piece on racehorse retirement, and for including the story of Bucky B Lucky’s life and his rescue.

Bucky B Lucky is a great ambassador for Thoroughbred horses, and shares many of his breed’s finest characteristics: intelligence, athleticism, beauty, and above all, heart. It was heart that made him a winner on the race track, and heart that helped him survive the terrible ordeal after his racing career ended. He has a place in all of our hearts now, and as we watch him growing healthy and strong, we can easily picture the day that he finds his permanent home and gives his heart to someone who will love him forever.

You can learn more about Bucky B Lucky by visiting his page which can be found here. There you will see photos from his first days at SAFE, and you can follow his progress through the stories and photos we’ve posted there.

To learn about other SAFE horses and read their stories, click here to see them all, or use the menu just to your right to visit them one at a time.

There are many ways you can get involved with SAFE — as an adopter, a foster, a volunteer, a donor…the list goes on. We are delighted that you’ve stopped by to visit and if you share our love for horses and care for their well being, we hope you will come back here again and again.
